This 4 hour seminar aims to:

Increase your understanding of the pathophysiology of diabetes

Review current options for medical management of diabetes – including non-subsidised medications available in New Zealand

Acquire practical knowledge, skills and the hands-on experience necessary for initiating and titrating insulin

Gain skills around the interpretation of blood sugars
-
Review foods with a particular focus on how foods affect blood sugars differently and how to eat to support weight loss.
As always, Dr Titchener presents the material within the framework of patient centered care. You will leave the seminar armed with new patient centered skills you can immediately incorporate into your clinical practice.
